Music and Arts Ministry Mission Statement

At Bethlehem First United Methodist Church we seek to glorify God through music and the arts
as we worship with our voices, our instruments, our hearts, and our lives. The mission of the
music and arts ministry supports the mission of the Bethlehem First UMC community: We strive
to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring honor to him by reaching out to each other
and the community, nurturing one another in the life of the church
and sending one another in service to all persons.

The music and arts programs at Bethlehem offer opportunity for
- Education
- Spiritual Growth
- Fellowship
- Participation in ministry
- Stewardship of gifts and talents
- Outreach

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, regardless of experience.

Opportunities for service include:

Chancel Choir – Youth Choir (Grades 7-12)

Children's Choirs (Pre-K -1^st Grade; 2^nd - 4^th Grade; 5^th & 6^th Grades)

Adult, Youth (Levels I & II) and Children's Handbell Choirs

Orchestra – Grade 7 and older with at least one year on the instrument

Drama – Liturgical Movement – Visuals – for all ages
